Nicolae Voiculeţ |
The Man and the Sounds
Since childhood, when he used to listen to the musicians in the streets or in the taverns of Bucharest, Nicolae Voiculeţ wanted to become a musician. His family invested so much in his musical education that they were almost reduced to poverty. He studied in Bucharest, at “George Enescu” Music High School - the violin, the piano and the the Pan-flute and then he continued his musical training at the Music Conservatory. In 1990 he left for America, Chicago, where he opened the first Pan flute school, whose students come from as far as Mexico and Canada. Starting 1999 worked together with Zamfir, becoming the student, assistant and even friend of the great master, with whom he performed in concerts and refined his mastery of the mystical instrument of the God Pan. The virtuosity and passion of Voiculeţ's music create feelings of freedom and oases of calmness in the frenzy of our world. Every piece played by Voiculeţ is a small prayer, part of a universal prayer for PEACE, HOPE and HARMONY on earth. The magic of Nicolae Voiculeţ’s sound has surpassed all borders, musical, as well as geographical. |
"Project Romania" has been successfully developed for more than three years on the great stages of the world, in Japan, USA, Canada, Austria, Germany, France, Sweden, Spain, Denmark, UK, Italy, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Thailand and Kuwait. It supports the concept of culture and civilisation through tradition, music, tolerance and mutual respect that are so necessary in today’s world, in search of universal values. The programme of the concert includes a presentation of old Romanian urban music, starting with Barbu Lăutarul and Anton Pan, music for Pan-flute, organ and folk-music band, together with classical and sacred pieces. This music will bring to light hidden ties between different cultures of the European space.

The Bucharest musicians will enchant the audience with their seemingly distant, yet powerfully present music, which will touch every soul creating a bond between man and Pan Flute - a bond that goes beyond the borders of this world.
In search of a universal language, preserving with sanctity the national spirit and atmosphere, Gheorghe Zamfir creates feeling and meditation.
By means of his music, the artist has restored the Pan-flute to its former dignity, changing it back from a common instrument into a divine artefact.

Jazz CONCERT
“BACK TO MY ROOTS”
The project “Back to My Roots” was initially conceived as an homage to Maria Tănase, combining Romanian folk music with the swinging rhythms of jazz. |
As a result of numerous concerts that Teodora held worldwide, together with musicians from different ethnic groups, the idea of an inter-ethnical musical exchange took shape. Thus, the project “Roots” becomes a territory where musicians from various corners of the world meet and “sing their roots”, the language of communication being JAZZ.
The starting point for every concert is the Romanian DOINA, together with gospel, blues and the klezmer doina.
Teodora Enache is accompanied by Emy Drăgoi - accordion, Puiu Pascu - piano, Oleksandr Beregovsky - percussion and Valentin Kornienco - bass.

Nightlosers is a Romanian ethno-blues band, mostly remarkable for their ability to find common roots between country-rock, American blues and Eastern Europe folk music, conveying the same message through complementary ways of expression. Their sound is chameleonic: to induce the rock/blues/ethno state of mind, the recipe is a well-measured blend, incorporating a bit of passion, a bit of subtle self-irony, a lot of technique in whatever device can produce some sort of sound, from an over-strung guitar to a poplar leaf - and a lot of temperament!
The band performs all over Europe, as well as in the USA. |

“BUCUREŞTI” METROPOLITAN CHAMBER ORCHESTRA |
The Metropolitan Chamber Orchestra “ Bucharest” is the result of a new vision that the founders of SIA Art Management Company propose on the concepts of musical performance and symphony ensemble. The orchestra becomes a living, flexible artistic body whose role is to design and manage cultural events of great variety - both from a musical and an organizational point of view.
The dimensions of the ensemble, that is made up of young professional musicians, can vary from a chamber orchestra to the size required by the great romantic or modern creations. Its achievements include, in only half a year of existence, the sound track of the latest film signed by Fr. Ford Coppola and a wide-scope project regarding the town Sibiu as a European cultural capital. |
Chamber music concert
The concert offered by the Metropolitan Chamber Orchestra “ Bucharest” aims at establishing a contact, as direct as possible, between the Romanian and Austrian (more precisely Viennese) cultures, by means of one of their most characteristic features: music. Both cultures had the chance to be represented throughout their history by major personalities and that imposed them as defining parts of the wide European cultural context.
The event is an innovative dialogue between two chamber ensembles that will alternately play musical pieces representative of the two repertoires. The Romanian will consist mostly of folklore pieces, while the Viennese will include famous pages belonging to “the Strauss Dynasty”.
